Notice the delicate detail in the pictures. Colors, texture and shapes may vary slightly from the pictures shown. Why pay inflated name brand prices? The comparable retail gallery sale price is $250.00 but your normal price is only $149.95 while this Limited Time Special 60% Off is only $59.95.
In case you did not know, tagua (tah-gwa) ivory comes from the tagua nut which is the coconut seed in a special palm tree known as Phytelephas. These trees are renewable natural resources used to protect the environment that are grown in the tropical rainforests of Ecuador and other South American countries. The tagua nut is dark brown on the outside and ivory white on the inside. When the fruit ripens, the lower part splits open and the nut falls to the ground and is good to eat. As the egg sized nuts mature for several years they become very hard and ready for sculpturing by a master carver. Hardened tagua nuts are very similar to animal ivory in appearance, texture and strength and are also known as vegetable ivory or ivory nuts.
This is quality merchandise at a great price. The only problem is that it is made in and shipped from Ecuador, a small country in South America, so shipping time and if necessary returns are longer than usual. We ship via Postal Services within 24 hours of purchase, 6 days a week, and normal delivery time is 10 to 21 days.
